Tuesday 13th February is the traditional day for Shrove or Pancake Tuesday. It is remembered as a time when christians prepare for the festival of lent, which is about self denial, by getting rid of (as in eating) luxury food items. This year we had about 100 people ‘suffering’ in the heat and humidity while eating savoury and sweet pancakes. Alongside great fellowship we wore creative hat designs (because we could!) and enjoyed puzzles and guessing games. Sorry for all you folk who missed out but we had a great time!
