“It was General William Booth, founder of the Salvation Army, who said “some of my best men are women”. He could have been talking about Ana, leader of our young people and team leader for the 24/7 initiative with Tauranga Girls High School. Ana has very strong relational skills mixed with a dash of passion for young people, a good helping of common sense and a strong flavour of insight and perception. Always the hard worker she will go out of her way to make sure whatever team she is in works well and delivers the ‘goods’. With qualifications in youth work and ministry she has the official cred to be in this space but it is her way of being which makes her great to be around.
Married to an engineer and with a normal, if precocious, toddler Ana is well grounded in the reality of both life and faith. She is a leader worth following and friend worth having.”
