The ARK is owned and operated by Holy Trinity Church.  It was established in 1984 as a Mission to provide a quality child care and support for families.

Our Vision

Our vision is to provide a quality Christian child-care centre that provides preschool children with a nurturing learning environment thereby positively impacting their families and community for God.

Here at the ARK/SPACE we believe all children are a unique gift from God.  We highly value positive, genuine loving relationships, alongside respect and acceptance of all peoples.

Our point of difference is our Christian perspective, which aligns smoothly with the NZ Early Childhood Curriculum, this forms a big part of our Centre philosophy.  We aim to have an exciting environment, filled with opportunities to imagine, discover and create, Our teachers hope to share our Centre values with our children and families/whanau, in a fun and enthusiastic way.

Kia Ora and Hello to all.

My name is Rebecca Evans (Bex), the Manager for the ARK, Holy Trinity Tauranga’s Christian-based Early Childhood Centre, which includes the SPACE programme for new mum’s.  The ARK Early Childhood Centre and SPACE programme offer an inclusive, loving and supportive environment for all tamariki and their families/whanau.

As a passionate Teacher with 20 years experience and I still feel as excited about Early Childhood Education today as I did when I began my Career.  The core values that underpin my practice and character are service to others, relationships, love, fun, respect and trust.  I love adventurous (safe) risky play, creating a place where everyone is welcome and acknowledged and most importantly promoting a sense of family.
